STEM Fun for Everyone
ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME
RoboKai hosts workshops for both members and non-members on a range of STEM topics, from the basics of engineering and coding to more advanced principles of robotics such as drivetrain design and CAD modeling. Upcoming workshops are listed below.
Upcoming Workshops
Workshops are typically 60-90 minutes long, organized by age, and held on Saturday mornings. They are focused on specific activities.

Ages 7-14
Maker Lab Workshop:
Digital Pumpkin Carving
Carve a small digital pumpkin using Tinkercad in this 60-minute workshop for ages 7-14. Learn how to remove material from other shapes in Tinkercad using the hole feature. We'll also explore other tools such as align, group, mirror, workplane, and ruler. After the workshop, RoboKai will print the pumpkins and make them available for pickup before Halloween. We'll also give you a battery-powered tea light to make your pumpkin glow!

No-School Boot Camp:
Robot Battle Bootcamp
In this bootcamp, every recruit takes command of a combat robot, diving deep into the world of tactical upgrades to customize their bot’s weapons and armor. You’ll use a variety of different weapons and armors to reinforce bot and sharpen your offensive edge, iterating on your design through rigorous field testing. The experience culminates in a pulse-pounding mini-tournament where strategy and durability determine who remains standing in the arena. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your engineering brain and get ready for some serious bot-on-bot action!
